At this time Mobile Melody works great with Youtube, DailyMotion, Vimeo, BlipTV, mov, 3gp, mp4 and even mp3 files. Others will soon follow once they start offering HTML5 alternatives to their content.

Several key questions:
1. Will we be able to select specific categories for the mobile side since some of us have a melting pot of flash, mov, and mp4 videos.
2. Will we be getting an updated uploader to allow mobile video uploads (THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!)
1) Mobile Melody will automatically do that for you. It will only show videos that can be played on mobile devices.
2) Mobile video uploads will not be supported in this version.
One last thing, can we have a cemented day for release..since I will have to do this for two sites i’m going to need the full day off just to update and test..some heads up would be greatly appreciated.

I am about to make purchase of the phpmelody 1.6.7. But i read from some of the posts that Mobile Melody and phpmelody 1.6.8 going release after November 15th. I was totally confused, whether i have to buy additionally mobile melody or mobile melody will be free with future updates. Also suggest me whether starting a new site with phpmelody 1.6.7 is good or will i just wait for 1.6.8. I read that version is 1.6.8 is completely redeveloped version with very new features than now.
Please suggest me.. what should i do.. Wait for new version or buy now, start the new website development and update later.
We’re not yet sure if Mobile Melody will be a free plugin or a paid one. If you purchase 1.6.7 now, you’ll be able to easily update to 1.6.8. There’s no reason not to buy PHP Melody before the 1.6.8 release. Updates usually take less than 15 minutes to apply.

Yes, Mobile Melody will use all your existing content which can be used on smartphones. The visitors will be automatically redirected when using a mobile device (tablets too).
It will be a “plug-and-play”, “set-and-forget” solution.
