We are excited to announce the release of PHP Melody 3.1, which now includes support for PHP 8!
With this release, PHP Melody continues to provide an easy-to-use, customizable and reliable solution for creating and managing video websites. PHP 8 support means that PHP Melody can take advantage of the latest features and performance enhancements of the PHP language, providing even better performance and reliability for your website.
We encourage all PHP Melody users to upgrade to version 3.1 since PHP 7.x will not be supported for long by your webhosting provider. As always, if you have any questions or need assistance with the upgrade, our support team is here to help.
Updating Your PHP Melody Site
Updating is recommended but not necessary if your webhost still supports PHP 7.4 and will do so in the future. We’ve had reports of instances where webhosts update to PHP 8 without warnings so, please take this scenario into consideration.
This update works only if you have the latest version of PHP Melody; version 3.0.1. If you’re running an older version our team might help you migrate to this release.
As a customer you can download the v3.1 update package from your Customer Account -> “Download Updates” page.
