Today we’re introducing PHP Melody v3.0. We know you’ve been expecting this release for a while and we don’t like to keep you waiting.
PHP Melody is a labor of love and today’s release is just the love our Video CMS project needed.
It took a lot of work to complete and we hope you’ll enjoy working with it.
What’s new in PHP Melody v3.0
Series & Episodes Module
You can use PHP Melody for more than videos. With today’s release you can publish video series and episodes as part of your video site. Very cool and worth checking out.
PHP 7 Compatible
For a smooth transition towards PHP 7.3, our Video CMS is now compatible with any PHP version from 5.6 to 7.3. PHP 7 is much faster and we recommend using it (if possible).
Google Drive is now a supported storage source for your video files. In addition, we’ve implemented Google Login as a supported account creation option.
Brand-new 100% Responsive Theme
Our ‘default’ theme from v2.x is replaced by the new ‘Apollo’ theme. This theme is both responsive as well as easy to customize from the admin area.
Brand-new Admin Area
Re-designed from scratch. Thew new admin area allows you to manage your site on the go. A fresh look we hope you’ll like and use with pleasure.
We’ve switched to the latest player versions and even included a custom skin for Video JS. Version 3.0 now supports the latest JW Player and Video JS.
Last but not least, the all-important bug fixes and code improvements. We’ve updated 3rd party libraries and made our code more secure.
