Hi,

1. Andrew, You mus add "Category Icons/Thumbnails" Support...
I already added it to your 1.8 Version, and its not a big deal! but can open new ways specially for mobile versions.
2. Flexible way to choose SEO/SEF patterns, and not hard coded in your CMS.
3. Make it more easy to modify small elements in your cms, for example, if i want to modify what should i see in each video link, now, i have to modify a lot of functions, but if you split this process to seperated function it will make it more easy to modify it.
For example, In http://aflam.arab-jokes.net i use title bubbles and nothing else, not like your original code.

Please, add it to 1.9 Natively.

Hi there,

I have one question about the new version. Probably does not make sense that it be addressed directly PHPMelody finish, but you can make adjustments so that it will be possible to create a sub page of the main HTML page through the admin menu? Just so that it is not necessary to modify the theme for.
I'm trying to create a portal focused on the sport and I would like there to insert the results of sporting events. I have an idea about such:

Home: Results
Sub Page: Country - Slovak Republic
- Czech Republic

The subpage create: WHIL (Woman `s international handball league)
ExtraLeague (men)

What about the MENU, can we have something on the admin panel we can add, edit, remove the menus in the header.

As a "new entry" 1.9 will have the PAGES on the top menu - nice and demanded feature.
As for the main menu, it is composed from 2 components: one is dynamic (eg: the categories, pulled from the db) and the other is static (like "new videos", top video and so on)

The static part of the menu is very easily to modify:
check 2 short tutorials on them:

- how to create a menu: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=9967
- how to create a menu with children: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=9996

Among the newly added features, I value the following most:

* Rich snippet support for enhanced search engine listings
* Video & article categories meta and rich HTML description support
* Live theme editor

And we can now copy and paste video tags again! Keep up the amazing work Andrew and PHP Sugar team!

BTW, there's this thing with PHP Melody only showing one line of description in search engine (in 1.6.7, don't know of newer versions) . Say for instance you Google: "Bob Marley - One Love", and the description for the music video on my site is "Bob Marley - One Love is a song that is enjoyed all over the world. Watch Bob Marley perform One Love in Germany along with his band, and buy the song on iTunes."

But in Google search result, it only shows: "Bob Marley - One Love is a song that is enjoyed all over the world. Watch Bob...." in one line, the rest part of the video description is then cut off; meanwhile there's room for more. Search engines usually show up to 150 something characters in description, but the case is different in PM.

PHP Melody 1.9 will be released as scheduled (tomorrow). There are absolutely no problems/delays with this update.

For crying out loud, Andrew. I know why I am up. PTSD. But why are you still up? Get to bed and get some sleep. Trust me, if you look like I do, you need all the beauty sleep you can get :lol:

Could you please tell me if the new 1.9 will officially support the plugins framework, including the full documentation for devs?
Since 1.7, (already 4 months ago) many have asked for this and as for now everybody is redirected to a tier party to download it.

Meanwhile there is no support in terms of its usage or plugin making (developer point of view)

I can't see the social feature (news feed, activity, in profile area) in 1.9 beta, was it removed? I hope not!
