Hey guys,

Today I'm happy to announce PHP Melody 1.6.4 which, as most of you know is a patch for version 1.6.3.

This release doesn't have any new features however it sorts all existing problems and bugs found in PHP Melody 1.6.3.

The complete list of fixes has been made available on our website.

Existing customers with active services can download this patch from:
Customer Area > Download Updates.

Some might like to start fresh. In this case, you can download the complete 1.6.4 package from:
Customer Area > Download Products.

In case you don't own a valid PHP Melody license yet, or wish to get a new template, use voucher code SAVE15 to discount your order. Promo ends on Monday.

If you have any problems downloading, installing or using this patch please add your message to this thread.

A sincere thank you goes to all forum users for helping us find those problems.

Enjoy and have a fun weekend!! :)

But there is a problem with that when I change some of things in the admin panel there are show message in red box :

It appears that your Max. upload size is greater than your PHP configuration can allow. Contact your hosting provider and ask them to increase "upload_max_filesize" and "post_max_size" to match your requirements.

You can safely ignore this message if you don't allow video uploads on your site. If you do, then perhaps the limit imposed by your hosting provider may be too low.

This can be solved quickly by asking your hosting provider to raise your upload_max_filesize and post_max_size.

Most hosting providers have live chat support so, this shouldn't take more than 5 minutes :)

Hope it helps.

What sort of problems? If you haven't opened a discussion about this please do so (include URL/screenshot if possible). I'm pretty sure it's not something related to 1.6.4.

Have a brilliant Sunday.

hey andrew
question to ask you, does this version need to update database? because i use a different template, i'm thinking that if i don't update 1.64, could i directly update 1.70 when it's out?

Version 1.6.4 has the exact same database as 1.6.3 (except of course for the version number in pm_config).

Yes, you will be able to import/migrate all data from any PHP Melody version into 1.7.

Question about the style.css

I've drastically changed that on our 1.6.3 version. What do you think is the best way to deal with that file? Should I just go through with the old and new ones side-by-side to add all our formatting before doing the update? How much has changed about the style.css? Would it be easier to update the 1.6.3 one manually?

Everything else looks easy enough to touch up.

Having a few issues.

After I do the upgrade, I get this error message at our home page:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home2/sumofcha/public_html/include/article_functions.php on line 1290

When I delete the "}" on line 1290, I get this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home2/sumofcha/public_html/include/article_functions.php on line 1311

When I delete the "}" on line 1311 everything seems to work fine, except the article categories list on the left hand side of the page is empty.

Note, I did not upload the new style.css file. Searched through and couldn't find anything new about that file and I have made tons of changes to the 1.6.3 style.css which would take a long time to do again.

Hi

I don't wont to miss things up ,so could any body explain this part for me, or give me the path because I'am using a premium template.

If you're using a custom or premium template, please upload
the included *.tpl files into your own template folder.
The *.tpl files are located in /automatic/templates/default/
