[solved] How often phpsugar update feed for products?

I have not seen any new products from last 7 days and getting same message "Your database is already up-to-date. No update was necessary!" I am daily getting emails from regnow about new products but nothing new in phpsugar product feed

hi,
you can update directly from regnow.

1- find this line on file "admin/update.php" :
"define('_UPDATE_PATH','http://www.phpsugar.com/updates/regnowfeed.ura');"

2- replace it with this line:

"define('_UPDATE_PATH','http://dc1datafeed.regnow.com/srv/rs.aspx?&afid=XXXX');"
where XXXX is your Affiliate ID

Thanks mohamed for kind help. I tried at localhost and get following error.

Could not update database!
The reported MySQL error is:
Data too long for column 'USDPrice' at row 1

Can you please help me fixing this issue.

Phpsugar should update feed on daily basis if its not possible than let us know easiest way to update product feed directly from Regnow.

That's why Ultimate Regnow Affiliate doesn't use the direct Regnow feed by default.

Some hosting accounts cannot handle this much load.

I understand your concern Andrew and maybe im wrong but, i believe the choice should be up to us. Besides, the last time I ran the URA update it pulled in 3 dead products and nothing else (it would be nice if we could view them before they're added to our database).

One of the main points in buying this script, at least for me, was the auto update feature & it just doesn't work as it should. Im sure you know as well as anyone else the importance of fresh new content and if our sites aren't up to date our visitors will go somewhere else. That would suck to say the least...

Im not really complaining, this is a good script with lots of potential but it needs an upgrade, or at least this fix, to be more competitive with similar sites.

If there was a setting to only pull in so many products at a time it would greatly reduce server stress...

just a thought...

You're certainly free and even encouraged to use the default Regnow feed if it works well with your host.
