I'll like to know if it's possible to share/add only my video database from 1.6.7 to a new installation of 1.8.1? Also, are there any penalties for this from Google (duplicate content)?

The data cannot be transferred directly since the MySQL table has changed from 1.6.7 to 1.7 (and newer).

All you have to do is run the "db_update.php" and it will update your 1.6.7 database just fine.

If you wish to avoid updating your main 1.6.7 site, simply duplicate your site in a new folder and update it by running "db_update.php" from 1.7 then 1.8 and then 1.8.1. You'll be left with a 1.8.1 database.
