Hi,
I was still using PHP Melody version 1.6.7 and due to upgrade of PHP I had to install ver 2.1 which I did successfully. Now the problem is restoring MySQL Dbase from 1.6.7 backup. Please help me to sort it out this issue.
Thanks.

Why restoring the 167 backup while you said that you upgraded PHPMelody.
I just understand that you upgraded the database as well, step by step, version by version as well.
So, if this is the case, just apply the db patches step by step. Once you finish your db will be upgraded as well.

This topic has been discussed before. Here's a summary.
A PHP Melody installation cannot be used with an older PHP Melody database from a backup.
The PHP Melody files and the MySQL database need to be the exact same version.
This can be achieved by updating your PHP Melody site because when you update your site the MySQL database gets updated as well.
To summaries, update your PHP Melody installation step by step (ask if you don't know how) and everything will be fine. I've manually updated a customer's website from version 1.6.2 to version 2.1 yesterday and everything went great.
Yes, it takes some time if you're using a 2 year old PHP Melody version but if you keep messing with your website you'll loose more time not to mention downtime as well as messing with any search engine rankings.
