What you think of this design so far?

Some work to do yet but getting there. 'There' being a design I like that is. Once the design is right I will be creating a site for all sorts of videos - cartoons, recent release films and so on.

Very good. I like the fact that the header is compressed and all focus is on the player itself.
After all it is a video site
Cool and original.

Some interesting design tweaks now. Added a new 'channels' page which has a different functions.php file allowing me to expand the menu into a full page spread:
http://video-channels.co.uk/channels.php
The above allows me to greatly increase the managable number of categories and videos without having to rely on an oversized menu.
I have also integrated a new MyBB forum into the design and I am about to mod it so that it shares the same registration and login process as phpmelody. This will allow me to add such things as an integrated Flash Chat and so on as these can be coded into the forum. I have also used the rss feed from the forum to create a 'Latest Forum Posts' box on the home page.

All good fun this

Good to see people excited about this sort of things. I started in a similar fashion and I miss those days of sleepless nights.
It's going to turn out one hell of a site.

No need for any help now as I have worked it all out. Will post in a 1.6 forum soon on how to update the 1.5 version of the comments code to show a linked video title and comment.
