I came on to this forum and saw that in the list of registered visitors online, apart from me, was one named MSN [Bot]. They are getting clever, these robots!

Yes, they are 
but not that smart.
Phpbb 3 (this board) recognizes the spider bots an lists them as registered users. It's a pretty good way to see when your site is being crawled.
