Howdy!

I want to thank everyone that helped us with feedback for the recently released PHP Melody 1.4. I enjoyed reading all your e-mails and I'm very happy to be part of this project.

I'm also glad to announce that the 1.4 version was a great success and and few bugs were found to date.

It's only been two weeks since we released PHP Melody 1.4 and in the meantime we've gathered all the bugs and squashed them all in this small patch (1.4.1).

You can now download the patch from the following URL:

http://www.phpsugar.com/get141.php

For any questions please e-mail me. I'll be glad to help you.

Have a productive week!

Andrew Rae
Project Manager

NOTE: If you have purchased PHP Melody in the last 3 days than you don't have to apply it since your copy is already up to date.

Thanks for the update

On the update. if i change include/functions.php I get this error

Code: Select all
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare specialchars() (previously declared in /home/.xxxxx/xxxxx/topnewvideos.com/include/functions.php:796) in /home/.xxxxx/xxxxxx/topnewvideos.com/include/functions.php on line 1300

I just kept previous functions.php and seems to work fine. Looks like a duplicate entry

Sitemap still get the same error (no big deal to me)

Code: Select all
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@topnewvideos.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Everything else works great.

@zeero,

I have the same issue like yours. It seems like there is an already existed "function specialchars". Therefore, no need to add a duplicate entry before "?>" closing tag.

Andrew please take a look at you update patch again.

Thanks for the feedback!

Some of you guys may have some parts of PHP Melody already patched. This is why you get the duplicate function error for example.

In the meantime please revert back to the old files if you receive errors and see if you actually need to update or not.

You can always e-mail me or post the issues in here.

i added from webftp in
include/functions.php

function specialchars( $text, $and_quotes = 0 ) {
[edited, Paul]
}

then it gives me this error

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE, expecting ')' in /home/onlar/public_html/include/functions.php on line 32

@goodok,

The function seems fine.
There must be something else on line 32 in the include/functions.php file that causes this error.

Please open your file with Notepad and go to line 32 (press Ctrl+G then type '32') and copy+paste just that line over here.

That means that its already done.
You don't need to update that file. Just use the one you had before
