Any mod to add gif/jpeg file?

Any mods thats you can add pictures jpeg/jpg/gif ? so basicly you can upload pictures too, not only videos.

Explain? Why would I need this? How do you plan using this?

It'll be good way to make site more interesting with pictures and videos (or sometimes games too). A lot of good traffic site, they always have pictures to attract viewer for sure. More traffic,more money to get rev from ads.

So I vote for add pictures too please Andrew..

Where would you want to add those graphics then? In the video player? I still don't understand.

here is how it would be a cool mod for my site.
Just for home page video player after setting video of the day - week or whatever to show just whatever I will set to play, I would design a cover slide for that band to have it exactly the size of the video so visitors don't see that black player screen when video player is not on auto play. here is the concept:

I know flow player doesn't support the image in the frame before the video plays, but if you encode the videos yourself you can add a jpg frame at the beginning of the video. The player actually shows the first frame of the video - usually black.

well that's what I am asking. I cant keep editing the files if there is a field to upload the slide on video of the day page and set it to just play the video I want . that would be awesome

the question should be formulated differently then, it should be: do you want to be able to add images to your player.
If the default player doesn't support it, we're done.
It's that simple.

Some of the stuff you guys come up with, honestly.
If you have to make a new graphic for that every day of the week...
I don't think I could be bothered, but anyway..

I'm not sure anybody actually looks at the video of the day... AT ALL.
My guess is people enter the site and go directly to new videos or top videos.
Most of them don't enter my site via the front page anyway.
I get almost all my traffic from google and twitter, they all go directly to the video detail page.

some of us always going to have ideas to fit our needs . This is how you can improve the pm to the next level ( visually). and some of these staffs are the key to presentable site. otherwise we all be searching sites look like crap.

They are only asking about a function that is available on many different platforms . . . to talk down to us and roll your eyes really doesn't do much for your image on this forum

Guys, I'm not talking down on anybody nor rolling my eyes, I just speak my mind, you should know that by now. That's who I am, always have been and always will be. And my image on this forum, or elsewhere, is the last of my worries.
I don't know whether this function is available on any other platform or not, I know I don't see it anywhere on my usual sources.
What I do know is that it is not gonna be that easy to do.

Everybody is entitled to give their opinion in this forum. And that's why Andrew made this as a poll.
I think as a coder Mephisto sees it useless because of the amount of coding and work that will go into making this as a feature.

Suggestion: Once 1.6 is out with modules / plug-in support then this can be released as an add-on for additional cost. So anyone that wants it can purchase it.

I'm not saying it is useless, it is just something that never occurred to me, so I have to get used to this new idea, and so I ask what exactly it is people want from it. What it solves or adds. I have no problem with other people having other needs than me.
And brownbloodz is correct in that it is different to just ask for something or wanting to actually make it/code it. It's an entirely different perspective.
