How often should the product feed update?

We have set it to 1 week for one of our sites.

However, for the past two weeks no updates have been made to Regnow's feed.

I received an update on Tuesday but there were only two new listings, for the strange site affiliateaddollars.com. I actually can't see the point of those listings, as when I click on the link to the site I can't see any way to download the products mentioned. I think these notifications are meant for affiliates themselves (to buy the scripts and then re-sell them) not to be advertised on download sites. Perhaps I'm wrong on that. Nevertheless it made me think that perhaps there should be an option to specify vendors whose products you don't want to add.

This would actually make sense if there were a lot of updates. I subscribed to the RegNow new products email and there are new products being released every day. I have been manually adding the odd one or two, but for many you have to ask to join the vendor's affiliate scheme and you don't always get a reply.

Given the lamentable quality of many of the entries in the database I don't think there is any alternative for anyone serious about selling software but to update the database manually.

Yes Julian,

Unfortunately this is true. We've removed a lot of junk listings from the database and then composed the one you received with URA.

However, some developers will keep submitting their junk and it's best to check the listings after each DB update.

I wonder why Regnow doesn't limit these useless 'products'.

Is it really more than 6 percent?
Recent RN feed CSV has 19117 while my SQL had only 17907, or 1210 fewer.
I had seen some obsolete versions in the feed.

I will note this: some of the omissions are actually first class products, and I have manually added several. Somehow I am losing the fine formatting of the vendors.

More recently, I discovered that some of the omitted good products are set to "manual approval", which do not appear in the feed, nor in any separate list I can find.

Same problem here,URA store show no updates for many weeks
What can we do ? Can't get support with phpugar admin.

I think there was a problem with the datafeed, all is well now.

P.S. I recommend updating your URA site once a week maybe Sunday since the feed is updated on Friday.

I submitted a reply yesterday that seems to have been ignored. In part, I said

lets me search product name or ID, not date, not browse, such as

Could Admin be modified to browse records, and/or show dates
or "recent"?

The SQL dump is an extra step, overkill to just view additions.
Spreadsheets can have trouble with the size of the feed, and
text editors lack the equivalent of column sorts. I end up
editing the SQL into pieces that spreadsheet can accept.

I am very, but very happy with this topic.

I was waiting in a montly basis to update my ura manually, and I saw that nothing happen even when ura tells you that Your database has just been updated! but no changes in the date of the product, etc.

Today I was reading this topic and finally the URA developers fix the issue, I when to my site click update and this what happen.

Your database has just been updated!
679 new item(s) were added to your website.

Amazing!... I check the date of the product and they are up-to-date, thank you URA creators for your time and excellent work.

Don't tell anyone, but it is RegNow development you should blame, then thank.
They are trying to make some long overdue upgrades.
They have bought a number of shareware-sell companies, and are far from
integrating them into one system. Presently, the only way I can get those
other feeds into my URA store is by hand.
