Cinema Theme - User Profile links broken please help

I have noticed that when I am logged in, clicking on my username in the upper right hand corner results in a 404 not found

example: http://www.vilemetalvids.com/user/philvmvpresident/

I noticed that there is not a root/user/ directory so then I noticed that there is only a user.php file

So then I tried http://www.vilemetalvids.com/user.php while logged in and it leads me to my profile page as intended.

How do i fix this so all users can view their own profiles as well as view other users profiles? This is the only broken link
in all of the upper right hand corner menu when logged in all the other links work as intended.

I can see after looking at other PHP Melody that its supposed to be using user.php?u=username

What files do I need to change and what code in those files to alleviate the issue quickly and easily?
