Finally i got my custom layout about 90% done in phpmelody.

it's a nice layout
I think its excellent and because i liked it i will give you the following advices
1- you ,bro, should consider providing the ability for yourself to expand categories
for example you may use drop down javascript/DHTML menus so u can add many categories as site grows
2- I think you should utilize the space of the login box and make just two small triangels on the header for easy on the fly login (like the one dailymotion has)
3- i see you will be using forums so why not put a box for latest forum threads
