Greetings everyone!

Today we've released a new maintenance update for PHP Melody. A few lines of vulnerable code was found in the back-end code. The problems were reported to us by Mr. Paulos Yibelo which deserves all the credit for this patch.

In case you're already using the latest PHP Melody version (which you should), applying the latest update is seamless. It does not affect the layout or any code you may have modified manually. You do not have to update your theme or any plugins for this update. Just download the update package form your customer account and upload it to your installation.

Be sure to download the phpmelody_273_update.zip file from the "Download Updates" page if this is your first time updating :)

As usual, I am happy to help any customer who needs assistance updating their site(s). Please drop me a message and I will be happy to help.

We've really appreciated the bug reports and recommendations.

Thank you all!

Feedback, questions or bug reports are all welcomed. Thanks.

Hi, Andrew.

Some issues after the update...
1. I can't choose a category when I try to add a new video.
2. All the on tags are combined into one big tag on previously added videos.

Are you by any chance using CloudFlare? This service tends to mess up some Javascript. If not please open a customer support ticket reporting this issue; please include FTP access for a faster resolution.

Yes. CloudFlare was the reason.

HI,

I have the latest version PHP Melody v2.7.3. Every time I upload a video after a few minutes my website goes blank and I need to ait for at least 30 minutes for the website to come back to normal. I'm using iPage.com as my web hosting provider.

My site is: http://www.micomunidad.com/videos-cristianos/

I contacted iPage.com help desk and this is what they say:

Support

Hello Carlos,

I accessed the website at http://www.micomunidad.com/videos-cristianos/ and I could replicate the issue. The issue is with the script in the files and you have correct the scripts for the error message that you are getting. You can contact your web developer for the issue. However, if you want us to restore the website to a particular date when it was working fine, please provide the date so that we can restore the website. We keep the last 14 days old backup of the website files and the last 3 days old backup for the databases. We have a Website backup and restore tool using which you can have the last 14 days old backup for your database. Please refer the following link for more information: https://shop.ipage.com/website-backup

If you have any further questions, please chat with us at https://www.ipage.com/chat/ .

Sincerely,

Nagesh K
Technical Specialist

May you please help? this is happening every time I import videos.

Thanks,

Carlos
