Today we&#8217;re happy to announce the release date for <strong>PHP Melody v1.9<\/strong> is set for <span class=\"highlight\"><strong>February 21st<\/strong><\/span>.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"141\" height=\"135\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-527\" title=\"Version 1.9\" src=\"http:\/\/www.phpsugar.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/Untitled-3.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re still in the development phase but for the time being we&#8217;d like to share with you some of the coming features and improvements.<\/p>\n<h4><!--more-->Among those we&#8217;d like to mention:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>pre-roll static ads with custom targeting<\/li>\n<li>built-in layout customization with live preview<\/li>\n<li>logo upload from the admin area<\/li>\n<li>user login with email (in addition to the username)<\/li>\n<li>enable\/disable new registrations<\/li>\n<li>a higher level of control over video listings<\/li>\n<li>rich snippets for your video pages (provides thumbnails next to your google search results)<\/li>\n<li>ability to replace existing videos with an embedded video (admin area)<\/li>\n<li>filter comments by &#8220;unapproved&#8221; status (admin area)<\/li>\n<li>search and filter is now sticky (admin area)<\/li>\n<li>ban users directly from the comments list<\/li>\n<li>multiple\/simultaneous image uploads throughout the admin area (article, page, video posting\/editing)<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;and 30 bugs fixed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By the way, if you&#8217;re interested in testing out the new features, keep an eye on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phpsugar.com\/forum\/\">the forums<\/a> later this week for the &#8220;beta test&#8221; announcement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As you may know we&#8217;ve been working on a new update for PHP Melody since the beginning of 2013.
