Dear PHP Melody fans,<\/p>\n

We’ve got some good news for you. In a couple of days you’ll be able to download PHP Melody 1.6.3.<\/p>\n

This new version will bring important features such as video upload<\/strong> for your members, support for new video types and audio files,<\/strong> a few new video sources<\/strong> and quite a few improvements for the Article Module<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Among the new features we’ve build into this release you’ll be able to find:<\/p>\n

  1. Support for new video sources: Justin.tv, LiveStream and UStream.tv<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Support for (a lot) of new video and audio file types: ‘asf’, ‘wma’, ‘mp3’, ‘m4v’, ‘m4a’, ‘3gp’, ‘3g2’<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Yes, PHP Melody will now allow for mp3 and audio uploads<\/li>\n
  4. Your members will be able to upload both video and audio files<\/li>\n
  5. Media RSS Feed for your videos.<\/li>\n
  6. Auto-generated thumbnails for articles with the option to choose which one to show first.<\/li>\n
  7. META Description for all articles (this is also done automatically)<\/li>\n
  8. The most read articles will be listed on a new page called ‘Popular Articles’<\/li>\n
  9. Thumbnail selector for Youtube Imported videos<\/li>\n
  10. Video preview for Youtube Import & MTV Import<\/li>\n
  11. Batch video moving from one category to another …and a few others!<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
